In the sixth inning, Ohtani crushed his 49th home run of the season, tying the Dodgers’ single-season home run record set by Shawn Green in 2001.
The milestone moment came shortly after when Ohtani smashed his 50th home run of the season, becoming the first player in MLB history to reach 50 home runs and 50 steals in one season.
