Scottie Scheffler, arguably the best golfer in the world right now, won the gold medal in the Paris Olympics Golf competition on Sunday.
The veteran golfer shot an impressive nine-under-par at Le Golf National, becoming only the third U.S. golfer to win an individual gold medal in Olympic history.

Along with Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood of England, who won the silver medal, and bronze medallist Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, were also present on the podium during the presentation ceremony.
During the presentation ceremony, as Scheffler was about to receive the medal, the U.S. national anthem played, and emotions got the better of him, highlighting how much the medal means to him.
Scheffler’s family was in the stands to support him at this important juncture of his life.
After the match, Scheffler spoke about getting emotional during a press talk.
Scheffler is a very patriotic person, with his grandfather having served in the Korean War.
Scheffler also discussed his preparations before the match, where he was competing against the likes of Tommy Fleetwood and Hideki Matsuyama.
"I just tried my best to stay in the moment, to relax and get ready for the playoff. I turned on some music and tried to stay warm," Scheffler said.
