Most of the opinion polls show that Kamala Harris is leading the elections, even if marginally.

Over 75 million people have completed their early voting, and statistics show that a major chunk of the early voters are women.

Given the diversity of population in the United States, it might seem natural for Harris to lead the poll given her racial identity, which has helped represent many communities, especially people of colors and particularly South Asians.

Furthermore, women’s rights, especially when it comes to the abortion law, have been a huge deciding factor in elections, and given the stance of the Democratic Party, they seem to be more favorable to this community.

Both rival parties have targeted the swing states, the areas where the race is really tight; however polls show Harris is marginally ahead.

The position of the president, regardless of the winner, comes with many responsibilities.  America is highly influential in current world politics and its president must address issues like the Russia- Ukraine war and Israel- Hamas (Palestine) conflict.

All in all, this is the last time Trump can contest an election, thus his winning would be his dream come true; Harris, however, would have another chance to run.
