Over eight seasons with the Lynx, Moore averaged 18.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, leading her team to four WNBA championships.
Moore’s transformative impact on the Lynx began in 2011, her rookie year, when she helped secure the team’s first WNBA title after a six-year playoff drought.
Named WNBA MVP in 2014, Moore was also a six-time All-Star and led the league in points in 2014 and steals in 2018.
A custom jacket and gold Jordan basketball shoes were presented to Moore during her jersey retirement ceremony, symbolizing her lasting influence on the sport.
Teammates recalled Moore’s unique pace and relentless drive, highlighting her ability to bring out the best in everyone around her.
Moore’s legacy extends beyond the court, where her advocacy for criminal justice reform led to the release of Jonathan Irons, whom she later married.
Ahead of the 2019 season, Moore stepped away from basketball to focus on family and ministry work, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
The Lynx’s four WNBA titles during Moore’s tenure, including her Finals MVP honor in 2013, solidify her place among the greatest players in the league’s history.
