The schedule is structured so that week 1 of the season will feature at least one game on three of the next four days.
The opening game starts in prime time, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs facing the Detroit Lions. (Note: the Chiefs are scheduled to face the Lions in the actual opener, not the Ravens.)
An iconic international game is scheduled on September 6 in Brazil, where the Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles. (Note: There are no current reports of an NFL game being held in Brazil, so this may need factual clarification.)
All 32 teams will be in action during the first week of the season.
The Los Angeles Rams will face off against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.
Thirteen games will be played on the first Sunday of the season.
In 1932, the NFL established its own rules committee and introduced several rule changes, diverging from the collegiate rulebook.
The New York Jets will play against the San Francisco 49ers in the final game of the week.
