The Gymnast Olivia Dunne, who posed in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 and 2024 and has over 5.3 million followers on Instagram, returned to competition after seriously considering her retirement at 21. The sport’s dubbed ‘Golden Girl‘ confirmed that “People at LSU are used to me being here.”
In a conversation with her teammate Flau’jae Johnson, on the ‘Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae’ podcast, she revealed one of the strangest requests her followers have made to her on social media. “You know what I had for a really long time in my comments section? People asking for my bath water.” Olivia Dunne shared.

“I was like. ‘What has my life come to?’ Think these people begging for bath water. Olivia Dunne acknowledged in the conversation her discomfort with people who link her success in the sport to her physical appearance: “One of the things that really annoys me the most is like especially on like the money game, docu-series posts that I post on my feed and on my TikTok, people say: ‘She doesn’t deserve anything she has’ and that ‘gymnastics is not a real sport’ and stuff like that.”

Dunne currently studies at the Louisiana State University, where she trains with the gymnastics team. This case has generated surprise and amazement on social media, causing a great stir in public opinion, with many wondering what motivated this fan to make such an extravagant request.
“It’s like saying like after I posted with the national championship trophy, People be like ‘she doesn’t deserve that’, ‘she is a bench warmer’, she’s this” she highlighted.
