The H3 Podcast, hosted by Ethan Klein, is on indefinite hiatus after allegations of an affair involving Klein surfaced publicly this week. Hila Klein, Ethan’s wife and the show’s co-host, posted on her Instagram account late on October 22 to announce their separation, writing that he had cheated on her and lied to her for months.
The show’s production crew followed with its own statement on the H3 Podcast’s official Instagram account the next day, saying it was shocked and heartbroken and that it stands with Hila. Ethan Klein has not publicly addressed the affair allegations himself, though he confirmed the indefinite hiatus in a separate Instagram story, according to TheWrap’s October 23 report. This story reports the affair allegations as allegations; they have not been independently confirmed.
What the crew’s statement means for the show
The crew has said it will not continue working with Ethan Klein while he remains involved in or profiting from the show, though it has not said what that means for H3 Podcast’s long-term future. That leaves the podcast’s day-to-day operation on hold until the dispute between Klein and his production team is resolved.
Most creator-world scandals follow a familiar order: a partner posts first, fans take sides, and sponsors quietly step back over following weeks. This one moved differently, with the people who make the show speaking out publicly just a day after Hila’s post, underlining how much of the show’s business runs through its production team rather than Klein alone. Other creator controversies have followed a similar pattern of public fallout and business fallout colliding at once, as seen in CruxBuzz’s report on another YouTube creator’s legal troubles derailing his channel’s output.
No return date has been announced for H3 Podcast. The show remains on indefinite hiatus, Hila Klein has announced the couple’s separation, and the production crew has said it will not resume working with Ethan Klein under the current arrangement. Updates are expected as the crew, Klein, or the show’s official channels respond further.
