Man is fond of celebrating festivals. Any cause is enough of an excuse to organize festivity anywhere in the world—birthdays, national holidays, and harvest festivals are a few examples. Some sports events promote physical fitness, and inaugurations and openings fall into another category.
On the eve of elections, inaugurations and openings happen almost daily. For example in Maharashtra, a new assembly is to be elected before 26 November 2024. So Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is in a hurry to open a bridge here and inaugurate some event somewhere almost daily. There is a spree of functions throughout Maharashtra.
In the USA, there is a jamboree election for the president. Therefore, daily both Harris and Trump are organizing rallies and meetings to propagate their viewpoint.
