Iran Israel War Live: Iran Labels Trump “Gambler,” Fires Retaliatory Missiles Wounding Dozens in Tel Aviv

  • The US Department of State has issued a travel Security Alert in light of US strikes on Iran. The Security alert reads that US citizens travelling abroad may face disruption due to periodic closure of airspace in the middle east. The alert further notes that US citizens travelling abroad must exercise increased caution.
  • Kaja Kallas in an interview ahead of EU Foreign Ministers meeting said that the closure of Strait of Hormuz by Iran would be “extremely dangerous and not good for anybody”. The EU High Representative said that discussion on Article 2 of the EU-Israel Association Agreement will be one of many agenda of the meeting.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi arrived in Moscow to meet President Vladimir Putin, this visit just comes after the US strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Araqchi said earlier that he would be discussing “common threats” with President Vladimir Putin. Speaking in Istanbul earlier he had said that Iran will not return to diplomacy after the US strike before considering a response to the strikes.

Iran responded by calling Trump a “gambler” and warning of heavy consequences, with a military spokesperson saying “you may start this war, but we will be the ones to end it.” Iran launched retaliatory missiles at Israel, wounding people and damaging buildings in Tel Aviv, but has not yet acted on its main retaliation options like attacking U.S. bases or blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
