The top-tier “ESPN Unlimited” plan ($29.99/month or $299.99/year) provides access to:

  • The complete lineup of ESPN channels including the main network, ESPN2, ESPNU, college conference networks (SEC, ACC), ESPNEWS, and ESPN Deportes
  • ESPN on ABC content
  • ESPN+ programming
  • 47,000 live events annually
  • On-demand replays
  • Studio shows like SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take
  • Original content including 30 for 30 documentaries

The lower-cost “ESPN Select” option ($11.99/month or $119.99/year) offers subscribers the existing ESPN+ content package featuring:

  • 32,000 live sports events per year
  • Studio shows
  • On-demand content
  • Original programming

Bundle options combine ESPN with Disney+ and Hulu:

  • ESPN Unlimited + ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu: $35.99/month
  • ESPN Unlimited + ad-free Disney+ and Hulu: $44.99/month
  • Launch promotion: Ad-supported bundle at $29.99/month for first year

“We are providing everything ESPN has to offer directly to fans and all in one place,” said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro during Tuesday’s announcement.

Market research firm Ampere Analysis reports that ESPN holds broadcast rights to approximately one-third of U.S. professional and collegiate sports content. The network maintains rights to NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college sports, and international soccer leagues.

The ESPN App will receive updates with additional features accessible to both direct subscribers and traditional TV service viewers.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter suggests that individual sports enthusiasts may find the standalone subscription more valuable than households requiring diverse streaming services.

Existing ESPN+ subscribers will automatically transition to the ESPN Select plan, while bundle subscribers retain their current package level.

The exact launch date and additional platform details will be announced later this summer.
