The President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mansour Pezeshkian, in a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed that Iran will not violate the ceasefire agreement unless Israel does so, as reported by RFI Persian. Mr. Pezeshkian in an earlier call with his UAE counterpart reportedly said, “We expect you to make them understand in your interactions with the United States that the Islamic Republic of Iran is only looking for its legitimate rights and has no desire beyond that, and it has not and will not seek nuclear weapons in any way.”


10:00 PM IST – 24/06/2025

The United Nations human rights office has called out Israel’s attack on Iran’s Evin prison. The prison, which has a number of political prisoners, has many injured during the attack. Calling out Israel’s aggression,  Thameen Al-Kheetan, for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), said that it was a grave breach of international humanitarian law as the prison was not a military target.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun in a statement, has said that China is following developments in the Middle East and reaffirms its commitment towards peace and stability in the region. The Spokesperson reiterated that peace cannot be achieved through military means and dialogue is the only way forward.


8 PM IST – 24/06/2025

China has reaffirmed its support for Iran. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, on Tuesday, said that China supports Iran achieving a ‘genuine ceasefire’. In a phone call to Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. wang said:

“China supports Iran in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security, and, on that basis, achieving a genuine ceasefire so that people can return to normal life.”


06:20 PM IST – 24/06/2025

Reports of ceasefire violation after the time limit for both Israel and Iran were circulating, with each country reportedly accusing each other of fresh attacks. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, first posted on Truth Social a clear message to Israel to stop attacks and call their airforce back. 

Later in an interview to reporters he quite seemingly in an angry tone said that “he is not happy with Israel”, Trump told reporters that both countries are going at each other after the set time limit for ceasefire. He said that he is not happy with Iran too. 


4 PM IST – 24/06/2025

Iran denies Israel’s claims of violating the ceasefire. Instead, Iran accuses Israel of continuing attacks on Iran for an hour and a half after the ceasefire started. Despite the ongoing tensions, the people of both the countries have found relief in the announcement of ceasefire. “We’re happy, very happy. Who mediated or how it happened doesn’t matter. The war is over. It never should have started in the first place,” says Reza Sharifi from Iran. Arik Daimant from Israel is also hopeful despite his home being destroyed, “Regrettably, it’s a bit too late for me and my family, because our house back here was totally destroyed in the recent bombings last Sunday. But as they say: ‘better late than never’, and I hope this ceasefire is a new beginning.”


3 PM IST- 24/06/2025

Eyal Zamir, The Chief of the General Staff, Israel Defence Forces says to retaliate to the “violation” of ceasefire by Iran. In a statement, he said “In light of the severe violation of the ceasefire carried out by the Iranian regime, we will respond with force.”


1 PM IST – 24/06/2025

Qatar has sent a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations. The letter addresses the “extremely dangerous escalation that represents a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar” after Iran attacked the US’ Al Udeid Air Base.


12:30 PM IST – 24/06/2025

Israel has confirmed 4 fatalities and 22 injuries after the missile attack by Iran on Be’er Sheva this morning.


10 AM IST – 24/06/2025

Iran has fired missiles towards Israel after the US President Donald Trump announced “complete and total ceasefire” between the two countries. On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has made it clear that there is “NO agreement” on a ceasefire. Iran has no intention to continue the war if Israel stops its “illegal aggression”.
