The actress was riding in a 1995 Honda Accord when the vehicle veered off the road near Ijamsville and crashed into a roadside ditch early Tuesday morning. Frederick County Sheriffs Office confirmed excessive speed was a contributing factor in the single-vehicle collision. Hottle was one of two passengers in the car. The crash remains under investigation.
Born deaf in Atlanta, Georgia on May 1, 2007, Hottle came from a four-generation deaf family on her fathers side. This rich cultural heritage informed her approach to authentic representation in her acting career. She rose to prominence playing Jia, an orphaned deaf girl who communicates with Kong using American Sign Language in Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
