Marvel Studios has unveiled a refreshed logo for “Avengers: Doomsday” at the recent Destination D23 event, where fans also got updates on the film’s production. Set for theaters on December 18, 2026, the movie aims to be Marvel’s biggest crossover since “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo sent a video message from London, where filming is now underway. “This movie is, to say the least, a big one for us,” Joe Russo told fans. “It is bigger than anything we have ever done. We are bringing together so many of your favorite heroes to face one of the greatest threats to the MCU.”
The updated logo shows notable design changes. While “Avengers” remains mostly unchanged, “Doomsday” now features wider letter spacing and different styling, particularly visible in the letters “D” and “Y.” The design adds more pronounced lines above and below “Doomsday,” putting greater emphasis on this part of the title.

The film comes after “Deadpool & Wolverine” earned $1.3 billion at the box office, helping counter talk of “superhero fatigue.” When released, “Doomsday” will compete directly with “Dune: Messiah” for audience attention.
Reports suggest Robert Downey Jr. might return to the MCU as villain Doctor Doom, though Marvel has not officially confirmed this casting. Kevin Feige has hinted that more casting announcements are coming soon.
The movie is rumored to feature multiple Avengers teams, possibly including Sam Wilson’s Avengers, a “New Avengers” group, and potentially some original team members through the multiverse concept.
Production continues at what appears to be Pinewood Studios in England, with the Russo brothers directing after their previous work on “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
