On the other hand, Colombia beat Uruguay in a high-voltage match. Colombia’s unbeaten run continues, and now they are unbeaten for 28 matches and will face the mighty Argentina in the final. Lerma scored a header supported by a brilliant corner kick by James Rodriguez in the 39th minute of the match. Colombia was also playing with 10 players after their defender Daniel Munoz received the second yellow card, meaning a red card, for an elbow tackle on a Uruguayan player. The Uruguayan midfield was not able to make any impact, and Colombia qualified for the finals.
