Sha’Carri Richardson, one of the finest sprinters in the world, has reached the 100-meter final of the Olympics. If she manages to win the final, it will be a major achievement in her career.

During the start of the race, Richardson was initially slow but still managed to qualify for the finals, securing the second position after Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia. Both of them are currently among the fastest sprinters in the world, and it was a battle worth remembering. Alfred secured first place as she finished the race in 10.72 seconds, just 0.05 seconds ahead of the current world champion, Sha’Carri Richardson. It was that close.

Interestingly, this year, Richardson and Alfred are the only two sprinters in the Olympics to finish the race within 10.8 seconds. Heading into the final, Richardson will face competitors Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry. Notably, after being banned from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, this is Richardson’s first Olympic Games. She was suspended after testing positive for THC. Despite the setback, she continued her strong form in other international tournaments.
