New Season, New Horrors
Season 2 finds Wednesday Addams returning to Nevermore Academy for her second year – the first time she’s ever willingly returned to a school. Co-creator Miles Millar explains: “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting.”
This season’s plot centers on Wednesday being faced with a terrible vision: her werewolf roommate Enid is marked for death, and Wednesday must find a way to save her “or die trying.” Adding to the complications, Wednesday is now famous after saving the school in Season 1, bringing unwanted attention.
Family Invasion
To Wednesday’s horror, her family life and school life collide this season. Her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) arrives on campus with his electrokinesis powers, while parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) will have expanded roles and reasons to be at Nevermore.
“This year, we bring the family to Nevermore,” says director Tim Burton. “Your family at school is the worst thing possible, isn’t it?”

Production Details
The second season moved filming locations from Romania to Ireland, with showrunners noting the Irish landscape adds “timeless beauty, wonder, and epic spectacle” to the show’s gothic atmosphere.
Tim Burton continues as director and executive producer alongside co-showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The trio promises a “darker and more complex” journey for Wednesday with “greater challenges” in store.
With the first season becoming Netflix’s most-watched English-language series of all time (1.72 billion hours watched in its first 91 days), expectations are high for this new chapter in the Addams Family saga.
