Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that he has made a trade deal with Vietnam.
According to the post a deal reached between the two nations on terms that Vietnam will provide free access to its markets, while goods exported from Vietnam to the US will be tariffed at 20% and 40% on transshipments. The US will get access to markets for trade with zero tariff.
Trump had earlier imposed a 46% tariff on Vietnam in the month of April in bid to reset trade deals with major trading partners.
Vietnam is a major production hub for apparel and footwear. Brands like Nike and Gap rely on Vietnam’s production hubs. The decision led shares of many companies to fluctuate on the share market, reported Bloomberg.

Amid the ongoing trade negotiations between the US and Japan, Trump suggested scaling up tariffs up to 35% on Japan. The move is seen as a strategic push by the US in the deal making process. Japan on the other hand is pushing for a deal benefitting both the countries.
Trump in his statement said, “Japan should be forced to pay 30% or 35%.” Reports Bloomberg

Donald Trump in a post has said that Israel has agreed to a 60 days ceasefire and hopes that Hamas will agree on it. He praised the Egyptian and the Qatari authorities for their effort in negotiations.
This ceasefire deal comes ahead of Netanyahu’s visit to the U.S.
In a long post on Truth Social, Donald Trump lauded Republican senators for backing up the One Big Beautiful Bill, which was passed with a narrow margin of 51-50. Vice President, J D Vance helped break the tie to pass the bill in the Senate.
Trump said it is a major policy win for the American people and hopes that the Republicans will do the right thing to further the bill on his desk by 4th of July.
