  • The head of Russia’s national nuclear energy corporation has warned Israel against any strikes on the Bushehr nuclear power plant. He warned that any attack could lead to a Chernobyl-esque disaster. Bushehr is Iran’s only operating nuclear power plant, which Russia built.

  •  IRNA confirms that Abbas Araqchi will meet leaders of three European countries this Friday in geneva. Amid the escalating war this is seen as a diplomatic push. He confirmed to the state media that he plans to meet with foreign ministers of Britain , Germany, France, and the High Representative of the Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

  • In a fresh salvo of retaliatory strikes on Israel early this morning, a hospital is reported to have been hit. The Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, reportedly the hospital was evacuated on an earlier order by health authorities. Minimal casualties are reported.
  • However Iran’s Fars News Agency have a claimed that the hospital was hit because its located around army command centres.

  • Thousands of Chinese living in Iran share their desperate attempt to evacuate the place amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. “My heart was pounding but amid the haze of war, everything became clear: I packed my bags and tried to evacuate to the embassy,” one Chinese blogger living in Iran wrote.

02:10 AM IST – 19/06/2025

  • France’s President Emmanuel Macron urged Israel to stop striking civilian and public infrastructures. Noted his concerns over growing escalation of the conflict and increasing civilian casualties in Iran and Israel. Addressing the National Security meeting he ordered the Foreign Minister to chalk out an initiative with European partners; a negotiating plan to end the conflict in the coming days.
  • UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres in the latest statement has expressed his deep concerns over the escalation of the Israel-Iran conflict and its alarming internalization. He further noted that any additional military intervention would result in immeasurable consequences to parties already embroiled in the conflict and the larger region. He restated the need for immediate de-escalation that would lead to a ceasefire. He condemned the loss of civilian lives and urged Member States to comply with the UN Charter, International Laws, and Humanitarian Laws. He further stressed that diplomacy is the only way to address concerns about Iran’s nuclear programme:
