Santner’s Sensational Five-For Guides Kiwis to Commanding Win Over Dutch

New Zealand defeated Netherlands by 99 runs in their World Cup match at Hyderabad on October 9, 2023. The Kiwis posted a challenging total of 322 for 7 after being sent in to bat by the Dutch captain Scott Edwards. Will Young (70), Rachin Ravindra (51) and Tom Latham (53) scored half-centuries for New Zealand, while Aryan Dutt, Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe took two wickets each for Netherlands.

In reply, Netherlands could only manage 223 all out in 46.3 overs, with Colin Ackermann top-scoring with 69. Mitchell Santner was the star of the show for New Zealand, taking 5 for 59 in his 10 overs and also scoring a quick-fire 36 not out off 17 balls.
