The chances of Stephen Curry playing his entire illustrious NBA career with the Golden State Warriors have now significantly increased.

It has long been evident, but now it’s official—no one will stop Stephen Curry from finishing his career with the Golden State Warriors. The player has just renewed his contract with the Bay Area franchise for one more year, extending his tenure in the NBA until 2027.

The news was confirmed by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Curry’s contract was set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, but now, following an agreement that has reached $62.6 million, it will last one year longer. This move puts an end to rumors that had the Chef exploring another team outside of the Bay Area within one or two summers.

Stephen Curry, arguably the greatest player in Warriors history, represents the team since his NBA debut in 2009 and leads them to four championships and six Finals appearances since 2015. At 36 years old, Curry is already one of the greatest players in NBA history. Despite his continued pursuit of accolades, the GSW star point guard already has two MVP awards, four NBA championships, and a Finals MVP earned in 2022.
