On Friday, Trump said that he would not appoint anyone to head the Federal Reserve who would not lower interest rates from where they are. Perhaps he is setting the most explicit litmus test yet for candidates to be the next central bank chief to align with his demands for steep rate cuts in order to get the job.
“If I think somebody’s going to keep the rates where they are or whatever, I’m not going to put them in. I’m going to put somebody that wants to cut rates. There are a lot of them out there”, said Trump.

President Donald Trump stated that he supports the inspections of Iran’s nuclear sites by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) or any other respected source following recent bombing raids. Speaking at a White House press conference, Trump claimed that the sites had been “obliterated”. He dismissed any claims downplaying the extent of the damage. While he backed IAEA involvement, the agency’s director, Rafael Grossi, emphasized that inspections have not resumed since Israel began bombing on June 13.
Iran’s parliament has since moved to suspend such inspections, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi suggested Iran may reject inspection requests. Despite these tensions, the US President expressed the belief that Iran no longer seeks to develop nuclear weapons after the recent U.S. and Israeli attacks. He also noted that Iran appears willing to engage in dialogue, although the White House confirmed that no formal meeting between U.S. and Iranian officials has been scheduled.

A United Arab Emirates-based fund has bought $100 million worth of digital tokens issued by World Liberty Financial, which is the crypto venture of the U.S. President Donald Trump’s family. It became its largest publicly known investor.
Aqua 1 Foundation said on Thursday that its purchase of the tokens, known as $WLFI, sought to speed up the creation of a “blockchain-powered financial ecosystem” with stablecoins and tokenized traditional assets at its heart.
“WLFI and Aqua 1 will jointly identify and nurture high-potential blockchain projects together,” Aqua 1 founding partner Dave Lee said in the statement. The fund’s investment and compliance teams would help World Liberty expand in South America, Europe and Asia, it added.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday, 27 June, threatened to prosecute Democrats, accusing them, without providing evidence, of leaking information related to US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, namely Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, which took place last week under Operation Midnight Hammer. “The Democrats are the ones who leaked the information on the PERFECT FLIGHT to the Nuclear Sites in Iran. They should be prosecuted,” Trump shared on Truth Social.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that his country has signed a trade deal with China and hinted that a “very big” deal might follow soon with India. We just signed (trade deal) with China. We’re not going to make deals with everybody… But we’re having some great deals. We have one coming up, maybe with India, a very big one,” Trump said while speaking at a White House event aimed at promoting a government spending bill.
