Karoline Leavitt informs that the President will sign an executive order later this afternoon, terminating US sanctions on Syria. She further notes that the move is part of efforts to promote stability and peace in the country and also a move that the President promised in May when he met Syria’s President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Saudi Arabia.

Donald Trump posted a one liner post on Truth Social that says, “Make the deal in Gaza. Get the hostages back!!!.” Trump earlier had hinted that an agreement between Israel and Hamas is in the working and within reach by next week.

Donald Trump hints that he may not extend pauses on global tariffs beyond July 9. In an interview with Fox News Trump said, “We’ll look at how a country treats us — are they good, are they not so good — some countries we don’t care, we’ll just send a high number out.”
He said that the Trump administration will notify countries about trade deal terms.
