Steve Witkoff in a post on X announced that the US administration has decided to bring its consultation team back. Witkoff in the statement has alleged Hamas of “bad faith” and “lack of desire to reach a ceasefire”. He further notes that the US will seek alternate means to free captives held by Hamas.

In a House Oversight subcommittee, a Democrat motion was passed with 8-2 vote in favor to the Justice Department to release files on the Epstein case on Wednesday.
The motion was introduced by Democrat Representative Summer Lee.
Reps. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), Scott Perry (R-Pa.) and Brian Jack (R-Ga.) voted for the subpoena along with the five Democrats on the panel.

In a statement Columbia University announced that it has reached an agreement with the Trump administration to resolve multiple federal agency investigations in violations of anti-discriminatory laws by paying $200 million in settlement over three years.
“Under today’s agreement, a vast majority of the federal grants which were terminated or paused in March 2025 will be reinstated, and Columbia’s access to billions of dollars in current and future grants will be restored,” the statement read.

Donald Trump’s executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship to people born in the US gets blocked by a Federal appeals court on Wednesday.
The court ruled by 2-1 majority and upholds a nationwide pause on enforcement of the order which is likely to come before the Supreme Court for hearing.
