Recently the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had a one-to-one meeting with a forensic expert Dr. Dinesh Rao Sonale, Head of the Department of Forensics, AIIMS, Jammu. Dr. Dinesh is famous for his expertise in forensics. He came into the limelight when he appeared on TV in connection with the death of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of former UN official and three-time Congress MP elected from Thiruvananthapuram.
Once again, when there is a call for giving statehood to J&K, the issue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji’s death in jail of J&K has come into focus. Dr. SP Mukherji is the founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, the predecessor of BJP. He founded the BJS (Bharatiya Jan Sangh) on 21 Oct 1951 in New Delhi. He became its first president. In the first general election, the BJS won 3 seats in Lok Sabha. It included Dr. Mukherji. He served as India’s first Minister for Industry and Supply (now known as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce) in the Nehru Ministry.
