FIFA, Football, News, World

Elon Musk the founder of Tesla and SpaceX has hinted to buy Manchester United. The Twitter CEO who owns an estimation of $157 Billion joked about buying it on Twitter last year. Musk, who is Forbes second richest person, is closely monitoring the situation before making an official bid for the Premier League football club.

The deadline for the offers has been set for Friday and the prominent bidders should register with the Raine Group. However, Musk is not yet public with his interest but various sources say that he has kept a close eye on the bid.

Currently, Britain’s richest man and chief executive of INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the only party who has gone public with their interest in the auction. But Ratcliffe will face strong competition from a Qatari inverter group based in Saudi Arabia. According to sources Qatar will be investing as a prime suitor in the bidding for the auction.

Only last year in August Musk posted on Twitter, “I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome.” as the world’s second richest man he can buy the football club utmost efficiently. After his Tweet went viral he corrected it by saying that he is not planning to buy any sports team. At the same time he added, “Although, if it were any team, it would be Man U. They were my fav team as a kid.”
