Israel has made the first public acknowledgment of a military site being struck since the 12- day war began. An official, on Tuesday, admitted that last month the Iranian airstrikes hit a military base in Israel. While maintaining anonymity, the official disclosed that very few sites have been hit and are functional.

Israel’s far-right minister Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich staunchly criticized the negotiations in Qatar. “I call on the Prime Minister to immediately return the delegation that went to negotiate with Hamas’s killers in Doha. There is no need to negotiate with those who kill our fighters. They must be crushed and starved to death, not provided with humanitarian aid that would provide them with oxygen,” said National Security Minister Gvir. Finance Minister Smotrich also attacked the decision and said, “I call on the Prime Minister and the Chief of Staff to immediately stop the foolishness of sending aid to an enemy that is fighting our forces and killing our fighters, and of besieging and exhausting the enemy in combat zones before they can meet our heroic fighters.”

Benjamin Netanyahu said that an independent Palestinian state would be a platform to destroy Israel. To support his argument, he used the example of October 7 attacks and explained the result of Palestinians having a sovereign state. He emphasised that the power must thus lay with Israel.

Israeli officials said the Gaza ceasefire talks may take a few days to reach a deal. Discussions are underway in Qatar and efforts are put to bridge the gaps in the deal. It is speculated that a deal may be reached this week.

The Greek-owned bulk carrier Eternity C, attacked by Houthi with drones, missiles, grenades, and small arms, has sunk. Two people were reportedly onboard and were injured.

President Trump, who hosted Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, gave updates on scheduling talks with Iran, and relocating Plaestinians out of Gaza. Netanyahu talked about plans of the US and Israel to Move citizens to other countries. He further says that if someone wants to stay, that person may stay.
