Trump Says Taylor Swift ‘No Longer Hot’ After Years of Praising Her Talent

Taylor Swift just hit another milestone in her career, even as former president Donald Trump claims she’s “no longer HOT.” Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour pulled in $2 billion – the most any concert tour has ever made. While flying back from the Middle East on May 16, 2025, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'”

The pop star’s numbers paint a clear picture. Her music reached 26.6 billion streams on Spotify in 2024. Her latest album smashed records with 300 million streams in just one day. She’s won 14 Grammy awards. Her current net worth? $1.6 billion.

Trump’s comments came as Swift has been keeping a lower public profile. She’s been photographed less frequently, except for occasional date nights with boyfriend Travis Kelce since the Kansas City Chiefs’ 40-22 Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Their rocky relationship goes back years. Swift stayed quiet during the 2016 election but later spoke up. She backed Joe Biden in 2020 and Kamala Harris in 2024. When endorsing Harris, Swift called her “a steady-handed, gifted leader” and said America needs “calm and not chaos.”

The same day he criticized Swift, Trump also lashed out at Bruce Springsteen, calling him a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker.” This came after Springsteen criticized Trump at a UK concert.

Swift hasn’t responded to Trump’s latest comments. She’s been less visible in public lately, except for occasional date nights with Kelce. The American Federation of Musicians stepped up to defend both Swift and Springsteen, standing by their right to speak their minds.

Remember when Trump used to praise Swift? He once called her “unusually beautiful” and “very talented.” That changed after she started sharing her political views. At this year’s Super Bowl, where both Trump and Swift attended, Trump claimed fans booed her, writing on Truth Social: “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”

Swift’s political voice has grown stronger since 2018, when she first endorsed Democratic candidates in Tennessee. Her continued success in music and willingness to speak on political issues has made her an influential voice in American pop culture.
