A lawsuit was filed by 24 states and the District of Columbia against the Trump administration’s withholding of federal funds meant for k-12 schools.
The funds were to be released on July 1 but a late notification through email informed that funds have been withheld citing “review of the programs.”
The Plaintiff States argue that the funding freeze has disrupted plans, which had already been developed in view of the upcoming academic year for many areas. Staffing, after school programs were reliant on the funding.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told Il Messaggero, in the advent of failure to secure a deal with the US a set of retaliatory tariffs worth 21 billion euros ($24.5 billion) are readied by the EU.

Donald Trump in a long post on Truth Social defended Pam Bondi urging MAGA supporters to not play in the hands of democrats. This comes after the Department of Justice released a memo which denied the existence of an incriminating client list as many had speculated in the Epstein case. The move faced backlash by MAGA supporters.
